Hey gang. the top of the fork tubes on my 76 look like they're missing
something, like a rubber plug or cap.
And the steering stem is open all the way through.
This CAN'T be right?
Please tell me what's wrong with this picture?
What parts am I missing here?
Thanks everybody.

just missing the caps.
Ah Ha! So that's what it's supposed to look like!
So, are the caps available? Or does someone have
a set they don't need?
:praying:

you could ask in the wanted/for sale section.

I'll find the part numbers, but they are not always current.

Cap-Steering stem- 53209-371-000
Rubber-fork upper cover- 51601-371-000

give your dealer a call they can see if they are still to be had.

Be aware , that those " ETA pat pend " things , which set the steering bar bach , is an aftermarket assesorie. And it look like you have the plugs for the oem holders .

Thanks. I like those. They set the bars back just far enough to
give a more upright sitting position.

Thanks Glenn. Appreciate it.
I'll start looking for them.
