I've put 150 miles on my wing since redoing the carbs, Still won't idle decent.

It rather idles way high 2000 rpm or at 400rpm no happy medium,

All I did was clean out all the jets, Should I pay for the carb rebuild kits or should the cleaning be enough, I know the floats seats, are not right, If I leave the gas on, it filles up the left to cylinders when on side stand,

But if the float seat was bad shouldn't it flood out while running, Or am I wrong, And a flooded enginge shouldn't Idle high will it,

Do I have to get a 77 carb kit or will a 76 work, I see some on ebay they say 75-79 use the same kit, but I know their differerent, but would a 76 or 75 carb kit work on my carbs:baffled:

Yep I made sure the jets were in the right place, I didn't follow the clamers manual because they were wrong,

I replaced all the vacuume lines, and sprayed carb cleaner all around the carbs, didn't make a difference

The floats I set at 21 mm from the lip of the carb

I cleaned the jets out with small guitar string, should be good, I stuck the wire through gave it a little bend and worked it back and fourth with carb clean,

and I cleaned up the top of the pistons, I tested them by blowing on the bottom were the needle comes out, they move nice and free.

The timing is set, Plugs are new, new fuel filter, fresh oil change, I used carb dip and let the carbs soak in it, I synced out the carbs as best I could with the rough Idle,

It runs great going downt he road, It's just at Idle I have the problem.

If I had a bad o-ring around one of the jets could this make the difference, It's the only thing I can think of.

Ok I won't be cheap, I'll pick up some carb kits, take the carbs off agian,:gunhead:.

I've heard about all the problems with the 77 carbs, You have to space the needle and change the slow air jet,

My question is, will a 75 or 76 carb kit work on my carbs, or should I just stick with the 77 kit and do the mods everyone recommends.

On ebay theres lots of 75 76 kits but no 77 kits, except for one guy who says there the same from 75-79,

yep I've been to his site a few times, I'm curious about trying the carb conversion, from the four to one carb, But some say it works great, others say it runs like crap, So I'm just going to stick with the stock carbs for now, But if this doesn't work, then I think she's going to get the one carb,

Thanks man for the help
