Howdy all and thanks so much, for all thehelp !!!Now, on to yet another problem,,,Concerning the front fork, when tracking straight the right fork tube appears to be closer to me than the left and I do not see any bend in either one.. This makes the inst panel and handle bars skewed to the right, as ifyou were turning right..It has been this way since I found her... Although this is an aggravation, it does'nt seem to effect the handleing... ?

Help.... :baffled:

Hi just found this one.

It seems from your discription that the wheels are aligned as there are no reported bad behaviours when riding.

That leaves the handle bars. Could they be bent! this would give the impression that you percieve when riding. Take them off and put then on a level floor. The three points should touch the floor i.e the bar tips and the bottom clamp piece. If one tip is off the floor there you have it.

There is one other long shot and that is that the forks are twisted in the yokes. Not that hard to do by accident as the top and botton are able to move seperately. Try loosening up all the clamp bolts with the bike on a centre stand and with the wheel braced in your legs try to twist back the other way. Check the way the leg sit in the top yoke by sight and they sit flush all round the top of the yoke.

It is difficult to see it being the tubes unless your steering is mis behaving while riding.

Thanks, and the twisted angle is at the top yoke.. I hadn't thought of trying the old bicycle fix. (wheel between the knee's ploy) The twist as I mentioned, has the whole top yoke (inst.handle bar clamp bars ect..)pointing RH . I will try loosening all triple tree bolts concerned and give a little twist.. Thanks again for your input GT, at least I have a reply......... :)

I would torque the bolts back down evenly side-to-side on the clamps.
