78/79 taillight and turn signal

Will the taillight/turn signal assembly from a 79 be a direct bolt on replacement on a 78? I'm looking to remove my saddlebags and don't have the OEM turnsignals, but I do have a stock 79 I'm restoring and thought maybe I could "borrow" that assembly temporarily.
