Forgive me if this has been discussed already, I swear I looked. I have a 78 gl1000 and she is a great bike, in the two years I've owned it I have had no problems. I would very much like to find side covers to replace mine as the tabs are broken and glued. I have looked for quite a while now and have had no luck on E-bay. I'm guessing the 78 was not a popular year? I would appreciate any help at all. You realy have to love a bike that you can ride while it's in for paint! Thanks.

occaisionally I have seen them on ebay, but I bet there are more parts for 75-77 than 78-79 out there. Honda really slowed production about that time because of the economy (remember double digit inflation).

It would help if you told us what country you are in, put it in you profile when you get a minute. David Silver spares in the UK has the right side cover in blue, brand new for £20 sterling (about $35 I think). The link is www.davidsilverspares.co.uk
