Recently bought a 79 gl1000. Needs complete harness as the old one was in pieces and most of it not even there. Replacement harness I have has correct color wires for the breaker points, but coming from the bike it has 3 wires, black, red, and white, also with different connectors, however they look to be the original wires. What to do? Next issue, is I can't find the blue and black wires for the fan on the new harness, no where to be found. Were different wires used for the fan maybe?

Electronic ignition - most likely a Dyna "S".
Red = Power (+12Vdc) input to power triggering modules
Black = Module for cylinders 1&2 - trigger to coil
White = Module for cylinders 3&4 - trigger to coil
