To get an even & correct low throttle setting you must re-set all those pilot needles at the same time. They might not all end up at the same setting but should be pretty close to the same. If you have an out-layer it probably stillhas a dirt problem.

cvs1100, if only one of your carbs has a pilot limiter still on it I would seriously doubt the quality of carb rebuild you received. It sounds like the carbs weren't fully taken apart.Hey guys, ijust purcahsedan '81 1100 standard model and recently had the carbs rebuilt and synch'd. I seem to be running a little lean and need to set them richer. I can reset all but one which will only allow a little under 1/4 turn due to the limiter capon the pilot screw . Is removal of the limiter cap inevitable so i can reset all 4 equally. I've tried to reset one of the leanest carbs to see if it had any affect but my idle was uneven and somewhat lower than normal. Is it better to reset all four equally or can i reset them individually?
