She starts a vibration at about 4000rpm don't remember any thing like this on my 78. only feel in right grip, much less noticeable on left side.
Any guesses as to where to start looking? For sure engine, cause can pull clutch and let idle at 90 mph, and vibration goes away. you can feel just by revving.
Thanks

Have not formally tested spark, however, she is so quick I cannot imagine her running so fast on 3. she does seem to vibrate a little less while throttle applied, than when holding or backing off say from 6000rpm to 4000rpm. Just something else I think I notice.

Check the U-joint. Your stating it was during back-off.

Yes, Stu, seemed might be more noticeable on backoff.

of rpm. not speed of bike. I can coast at 90, and no vibe.

does it vibrate while riding it or just revving it up to 4 grand in the drive way?

Ditto, the u-joint could vibrate more when decelerating than when accelerating or holding speed.

I don't think it will be the UJ. Can't see out of balance carbs causing it at high revs either, carbs would be more noticed at idle and low revs.

It's definitely running on all 4 then! on 3 they run like a sick dog.

Depends if you are comparing it to a Harley or a properly running Wing

BW, my thoughts exactly. Carbs are a little rough at idle, but when I open her up wow, she goes faster than my 78 did after balancing carbs and tuning.
