Okay Coot, here's the measurements from my 1100 manual:
Top and Second Ring End Gap:
Standard: 0.004 - 0.012" Service limit" 0.02"
Oil Ring Side Rail End Gap:
Standard:0.008 - 0.035" Service limit: 0.04"
Top ring is chamfered on top and bottom edges with a bevel, widest edge down.
Second ring has a 30 degree bevel with the widest edge down.
Markings on the rings go toward the top of the piston as per normal practice.
