Gun Kote sounds like the stuff to stop our British road salt/grit from eating our alloy bits. Is it a spray & is it available in UK? My GL1100 engine and carbs are in some state. I'm aboutto remove engine to fix the starter clutch so that'll be a good time toattempt a clean up job. I don't expect any problems with the mechanics of stripping the carbs.

Is it safe enough toblast the enginewhilst intact, obviously with the ports and drive shaft blocked off?

One more Q, because of a centre stand problem I am going to use a rear paddock stand to raise and steady the bike for engine removal etc. Any known issues orproblems,i'm thinking along the lines ofare they strong enough?
