If the lobes are smooth and not grooved I wouldn't worry about it.

I have an 82GL1100I That I need a tech answer for. Been doing a head gasket replacement, cause I found oil in the coolant. Took it all apart and was checking all the measurements on the valves, guides, lobes, bearingsand etc. The qustion that I have is, all the measurements fall in the newrange, all except the exaust lobes on all four cyclindersis at the bottomof the service limit, they measure 1.44. All the intake lobes showlittle or no ware. How is this possible? The bike has 42,000 miles on it. Look forward to hearing what you guys have to say.
