Got the radio working.Three wires needed to be cut and resoldered. What speakers would you recommend as replacements. They play intermittent. One side will go into defibrillation just pulsing away and then full arrest when it just stays pushed all the way out.One will squeal wildly. And sometimes they play fine.

The originals are Clarions 4ohm 8watt nominal 20w max.

Any ideas?

Man deja vu, you are all over it working on everything at once. I did the same. Whenever I was waiting for parts, I tore something else down. I almost needed a scorecard. LOL. I bought he J&M Audio 100 watt speakers for mine. Check the net they are specialists in motorcycle audio. I will get the number off the box tomorrow in the 40ft metal shipping container I boughtfor a motorcycle workshop. 3K is cheaper than a garage. dj

I put a set of Polk Audio in mine. No reason for them besides the price was right, and they have polypropylene cones so the wet doesn't wreck them.

To be honest though I find the speakers are pretty useless for anything but sitting in the garage. Can't hear them on the road, and i am plugged into my helmet speakers anyway..
