Hello Folks,
I've decided to give up on my GL 1100. I just don't have the time or opportunity to ride it enough to free up a stuck ring. Upon start up it smokes from the left pipe. After about six or seven miles it begins to run clean and will run all day without smoking, unfortunately the same thing happens the next morning.
This bike has had a sorry life. Never abused but the original owner was taken advantage of by a local shop at least several times. The bike has 29,000 miles on it and looks great. I've had the carbs professionally rebuilt. The bike also has very nice Samsonite saddle bags, no trunk though.
I just noticed that the rear end has started seeping gear oil and that's the straw that made up my mind, it's got to go. I've already invested too much in parts and labor and will now just cut my losses.
I'll sell the whole bike with a clean title for $2,500.00. I'll also part it out if necessary. I'm not interested in arranging transport so the bike can be picked up in Bend, Oregon.

Thanks Bill
