83 gl 1100 front end off 98 springer

I am new to this site and just want to say thanks it has been very helpful. I just bought a 83 gl 1100 and have stripped it down to rebuild a bobber style bike i have a springer front end on it but the stem is too short any suggestions?

Sorry no suggestions for that problem of yours on the short stem. That's a very critical part of your safety, any one riding with you or anyone you sell it to.

I'd say either get a front end off something with a longer stem, or stick with the original one from the Goldwing.
