I want to replace the stereo (Sherwood) on my Goldwing, but cannot determine how to remove it. I have searched the web but still no luck.



Can anyone tell me how it is done, or point me to where I might find the answer?



Do I need to remove the faring, or can it be done another way?

I never heard of a Sherwood in a GL1100, it isn't the Honda one for sure. Is it a car stereo? Post a picture and we should be able to tell you how to remove it.

Is it in front of you or in the left side of the fairing?

Thanks for the reply beertap tom and chilidawg. Last night during golf I talked to another winger who told me it is an aftermarket audio console and how to remove it.

One item that did come up was he said if it was an '83 it would be a digital dash, but I have analog tach and speedo. However, my registration says it's an '83. Any thoughts?

I will post pictures tonight.

It's an '83. Don't worry.



You have an Interstate, they were all analog. The digital dash was on the Aspencade.

83 Interstate has analog gauges and the 83 aspecade has digital gauges
