Anyone know if an "82"Rim will fit an "83" bike.

My rear rim has 2 cracks in the hub area and the bearing fell out when disassembled. I am not sure what years will fit. It is a 16 inch rim.

Thanks

I remember the 82 has less spokes now that you mention it. I am not haveing a lot of luck finding an 83 though, so I may have to live with it for now.:action:

Thanks for the info.

I have an '83 parts bike with a rim. I assume it's in good condition. But it's a matter of getting to it.

I also have a brand new rear wheel I bought off ebay a few years ago. May hang onto the new one.

If your tossing that back rim, I will buy the brake rotor off you if it is the five bolt one. Let me know!

I think you have to switch the" star " or final drive flange inside the wheels to fit the same years rear drive ,,,, the teeth are just a little different for each year of the 1100 moldels..

i think the star hub inside the wheel is the same on all 1100s . The teeth might appear a little differant due to the wear pattern from mileage and if they werent regularly moly pasted. JB
