I have a problem with my '83 Interstate, and part of it is that the battery is dead. I want to put on a trickle charger that I have for my wifes '80 Kawasaki, but (duh) I have no idea where the battery is, or how to access it.



Yes, I have the manual, however we just moved, and it is packed in a box which is SOMEWHERE in the house (omg it's gonna take forever to find everything again) and I was hoping to get started on the overhaul this week.



Can someone give me some advice on how to access the battery please?

On the left side of the bike, as you're sitting on it, the triangular shaped cover directly under the edge of the seat. It has the Goldwing logo on it.

Grab the front and back edges, and gently pull it off. Be careful so you don't pull one side way off from the other, then 3 pins holding the cover on may become fragile over time.

you`ll find the battery under the left side cover , sitting on the bike.

Thanks very much guys. I was reasonably certain that was the location, but it's better to check first and be sure.
