83 interstate color

This is the 83 that I put back together, it had sat a long time and half of the parts were off it. My question is the color correct for the year? I know that it has been resprayed, but saw an 82 somewhere on here that looked like it was the same color. Can you buy touch up paints if so. Dana

Thanks! That's what I thought but wasn't sure. It looks like the old 68 GTX British racing green to me (brother had one) I might try going thru some color books at Napa. Dana

congratulations well done, a nice looking bike.

here are the colors for a 83 interstate, they are on page two, FAQ section.

candy wineberry red R114CU

Black NH1

I remember seeing a Markland catalogue years ago and they had a lovely green Interstate 1100, so it must have been a stock color. It looked lighter than the one in the picture above.

:waving:When the '83's first came out there were only two colors which were Black and Candy Regal Brown. I believe Candy Wineberry Red was addedmid 1983. When I bought my '83 Interstate Jan '83 Candy Wineberry Red wasn't available.

I agree with 83 GoldWinger. There were only the three colors stock and the Wineberry wasn't available until late 83. The other green bike seen had to be a repaint also.

I like the green color but it needs more chrome!

My other wing is a naked 78, I'm slowly working up to the flash and glitter. I have all of the Honda emblems but just didn't add them. The color is really a metal flake but you can't see it in the pics and NO! it's not O>D green. lol:action:
