Since I am a first time wing owner,this is all new to me, my next question is, since the 84 standard was a naked wing and had less voltage requirments, did it have a lower output stator than the faired and bagged models?

standard,interstate and aspencade all had the same size stators 84-87

only ltd and sei had larger 550w stators
The '84 Standard has a 360watt stator with the charging system the same as the Interstate and Aspencade....
How can I tell If I have an LTD or a SEI, by the way what does SEI stand for? I seem to remember reading some where that the LTD and the SEI have two connectors between the regulator and the harness, is that true?Is Is that an easy way to know if I have the LTD or SEI?

If you have carburetors you have neither an LTD or SEi.

SEi stands for (S)pecial (E)dition (i)njected.
And what does LTD stand for, please exuse my ignorance.

Since you seem to have answers to all my questions, I'll throw one more at you, where can I find a fake fuel tank for an 84 1200 standard?

On an 84 standard.:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
I learned one thing since i've had my two birds . If you look long enough and hard enough you can find just about anything and I mean anything . Keep checking E-Bay GW forums . Presistance will prevail
Plastics for the Standards are a bit harder to find, but they do crop up on EBay from time to time.
