Has anyone cut down a stock seat to lower it and made it work?
I have short legs and am a disabled combat vet. I have a real time getting my legs on & off my 84 GL1200A (without falling down):lash:

Have you tried stepping on the foot peg and then swing your leg over the bike? Makes it a lot easier for us vertically challenged folks to get on and off without difficulty. I've been doing it that way for years. Now and then someone will say something about it and I am a bit surprised. It just comes naturally and I don't even think about it until someone mentions it.

Kinda like getting on a horse, left foot in stirrup, swing up and over.
I also have a short inseam,I had the seat foam shaved and the cover replaced at a local upholstery shop. The bike was an 84 1200 and it worked out great.
