Normally you can do it by removing the shifter shaft, pulling the old seal out with a small screwdriver or what ever you can winkle it out with, it's just a press fit. Once the old one is out just press in the new one with a socket of the same diameter. Be sure to put some tape over the splines on the end of the shifter shaft, the lips of the seal are very easy to damage, also gerase up the shifter shaft to help protect the seal lips. No grease on the outside of the seal, you don't want it to pop back out.
