I just joined this forum, so this topic may have been discussed before. I have an 84 aspencade that I bought a little while ago, and it has developed a pretty good oil leak where the clutch slave bolts to the housing. I cleaned it up, and there appears to be a weep hole at the 5 o'clock position. My question is: Is there supposed to be a weep hole or is it a hole in the clutch cover? Thanks for any help.:?

it`s a weep hole for the clutch slave cylinder. me thinking you have a rebuild of the cylinder in you future. have you checked the fluid level in the left reservoir?

opps---wellcome to the forum too.

sounds very much like the slave cyclinder needs a replacement kit, the housing can be removed without moving the motor, its a bit fiddly but doable.

good luck,

I wish it was hydraulic fluid(easier fix), it's engine oil. Pretty good leak when the engine is running and pointed uphill. After checking a parts picture, it appears there is a seal in the clutch cover for the actuator rod. I'm going to change the oil today and make sure it is at the proper level. Thanks for your help
