Hi, I'm new to owning a goldwing. I bought a 1984 Honda Goldwing 1200 Interstate recently. Rode it twice and now it wont shift down out of 3rd gear, it will shift up to 4th, but not to OD. I cant get it into neutral to start it now. It does have boards and a heel-toe shifter (which I plan on taking the shifter off and switching back to stock). My question is does anyone have an idea as to what the issue could be? It clicks between 3rd and 4th then nothing going up or down.

Get that off NOW Goldwing doesn’t work well with that

As Tex said. There is a very good chance the issue is the floor boards and heel, toe shifter. Many members ended up having to remove them when their bikes did not shift correctly.
