84 standard rear turn signals inop,

never a problem before!Have always had a clicking sound in the turn signal switch,all lights worked as advertised (self cancelling also).right rear stopped working remaining signals flashed faster.relamped rears with correct lamp,no help.clicking sound gone self cancelling not working,rear tail light very dim also brake light.wiring looks good.control problem fault Could this be a control unit failure.
