Hello All..

Just got back from a 3700 mile trip to Wyoming, Dakotas..wonderfull time.

Had three bikes in our group, my son on his 1100 shadow sabre, wife on the 85 GL1200 and me on my 98 1500,

Bikes ran good, no issues, just the 1200 was finicky starting. It would miss on start up until it was revved a bit then would clear and run without issues.

I suspect that perhaps one of the carbs may be seeping past the needle/seat. It's got 110K on it, would not hurt to go through the carbs I'm sure.

Question is...where to find quality reb kits for these old girls...or what other options (fit valk carbs?)

Thanks and happy motoring!

Randakks kits are probably as good as you will get, apart from OEM.
Randell does not provide float valves or jets and recommends using OEM but from reports it seems his gaskets/o-rings are of high quality.
He also has the impossible to get slide diaphragms, not cheap but what recourse do you have if your's are shot?
