Hi what would be the max fuel pressure to use on a 85 interstate when using a aftermarket fuel pump.
I have seen ranges from 1.5- 4.5 lbs on some and others 3-5 lbs what is best don't want to due any damage to carb internals or over power the floats

there is a suggestion in the tech post section. tech post is in the right menu on the front page. click on it an go to f , click on it and go to fuel pump replacement 1200 , hope this helps.

I just had a pump failure on my 84 Interstate, I went with the aftermarket as well, Bestest Fuel Pump I think the psi on it was 2.5-4.5 w flow rate of 30 GPH i believe the OEM pushes about the same psi with only 20 GPH. I've actually had greater response with the aftermarket and the pump fit in the existing mount only diff. was the outlet side of the pump was on the oppposite end of the pump from the OEM if that makes sense. I just covered the fuel line with the Braided Steel Cover looks better than stock.
