i have been having proublem with my cb transmition. the transmit button didn't always make contact but with tuner cleaner and working it i would get the transmit symbol to show and i could talk to other bikes. the last time out the other bikes could not always read me or it was garbeld. today i was working on the transmit button and got the tr symbol on the radio but not output to my walkie talkies.

what should i check for transmition proublem?

I know when I ride with Halfling once in a while his transmission won't go through, I believe it was caused by a lose wire or connection on his mic. After he plays with it, it will start to transmit again.

A bad antenna ground will cause the output transistors to overheat, and eventually burn out. Sierra is a fantastic place to have your radio repaired. I have used them myself. jimsjinx
