The last week or so I've noice'd a ticking sound on the right side of the engine on acceleration. I've narrowed it down to the fuel pump. Is it the fuel pump going bad or the relay? Any help would be appreciated.

When my fuel pump went it was blowing the ignition fuse. The replacement pump ( E Bay )makes a ticking sound when it is starving for fuel, it lets me know when i have not turned on the petcock,other than that,alls quite.

I would check fuel filter and any blockage in lines or tank (rust).

Thanks, I changed out the fuel filter this spring but it could still be some blockage causing the noise.
