Anybody with a 1987 and an OEM backrest. Would you look and see if you have the same lifting of the pattern.

The pic shows it a little. It's happening on both sides, and onlywhere the lower cross pattern meets the up and down pattern. But it looks like it's lifting away from whatever it is supposed to be glued or melted to.

Seems like I would have noticed this before if it's been there all along. It may be like this on other years, but since the '87 uses a differentpad than those other years...

That probably isn't unusual Dennis, they tend to give out at the joins eventually. That pad is in very good condition overall.

Mine all so is doing that but only on the seat. I tried a vinyl repair kit . It just didnt turn out that good. So now am going to put a sat cover on mine. A while back I met a fellow that but the one I am going to use and it looks like a factory seat refinishing. Here is the web site.
