Hello all ,newbe and first time post, also new goldwing owner.I have a 1989 gl1500 and it has a bad low speed (idle -2000 rpm ) stutter /miss .It runs great cruising but want to take off from a stop light or dead stop very well and idles rough .I have cleaned the carbs and couldn't find anything wrong with them , inspected all of the vaccuum hoses for leaks and found none. I also checked the carb sync and it was ok.I'm stumped.Could it be the carb control unit? Looks like a great goldwing site and thanks!!

Hey Zebber,I had the same problem on my 88 1500 2 weeks ago and all I did first of all was change my plugs (dark carbon deposits), ran a fuel additive and then changed my fuel filter. I now have a bike that pulls away from junctions etc smoother than a baby's bum

I had the same problem, it was dirt in the carb slides.
Cleaned with WD40 and worked the slides till they moved smoothly.
