I was taking the "tank" frame off and doing some fuse work when I found this. It's a 9-pin male connector that has a bunch of wires running out of it and in to the headlight assembly, from there I loose it in black tape. What is this thing and where does it need to be plugged in? I can't find anything that looks like it would go there...

That would make sense...it would explain why all the wires are cut and spliced in the headlight and also why the turn signals are not the original ones and why they are mounted up on the handlebars...they must have been put that way after the fairing came off...I never asked the guy who sold it to me if it had a fairing, but I guess I know now.
