I'm not sure if I am having a heating problem or not. On a 90+ degree day running 60 to 70 mph my temp gauge will run straight up and down. and then the first stop light I get stopped at the fans are coming on. Is this normal? This is the first wing I have had that the temp gauge worked.

When the needle goes to half way & and no further

that's ok, fans kick in at this stage,

when your motoring needle goes back a quarter.

check your coolant levels regularly.

well on my 90 the needle just goes past the first mark . less than a quater. most times and always when driving faster tha 35. If I have a lot of stop and go city driving it climbs to 1/2 but goes back down as soon as i get non wstop time. Not shure how accurate the gauges are
