Got myself a 1994 gold wing 1500 se for 500.00 from family member. It runs great after I got all the bad gas out and replaced the fuel pump. It has that famous trans problem. Called a place will fix it for 3000.00 OUCH. So I have been looking for engine's for this bike for awhile and can pick one up for a LOT less. MY question is what year will fit in this bike 95 and above.

Thanks inadvance....JD

Yes all years of the 1500 88 to 2000 will work and you can use Vaulkrye engines though they don't have reverse as the Interstate didn't either. If you want reverse use Aspencade or SE, 96-2000.

Assuming you want to keep reverse, don't get suckered into an engine from a Goldwing Interstate. Those don't have the reverse mechanism, and you can't add it.

Of the available engines out on the market, many are from Interstates due to their lower values. You'd not be the first that purchased an engine, only to later have a "Oh Crud" moment.
