hi philip and welcome to the forum this type of prob is hard to dianose as it can be a bad ground the switch or the flasher unit your going to have to remove some tubberwere to access the grounds and the unit under the seat there is a major ground point on the cross member give this a good cleaning has been knowen to rust from moisture getting in, the bolt that holdes each rad has a ground also to the front flashers, you need to remove each bulb one at a time to see will it stop as a short maybe in the bulb holder you could be getting a feed back from one of the running lights, then the flasher unit under the seat give it a tap and see will the prob stop as said a lot to go trough any chance you have some aftermarket lights installed on the flasher circuit
