Hello all,

I am trying to find out the difference between CB Antennas as listed for a 97 Aspencade and the SE which I have.

OEM-39162-MAM-771 and OEM-08E96-MAM-100(Have seen it listed as 08E96-MCA-100)

The first one is listed for the SE and the second one is listed for the Aspencade. What's the difference besides $40.00? The 2 bikes are virtually identical.

I need the lower section which I can't buy, must buy the whole antenna kit

PS. Weather in San Diego is mid 70s, need to get out and ride.

If your sources are different and both allow returns order 'em both and send back the one you don't like!

Rick, the only difference is that the one for the SE has a chrome base and the Asp one has a brushed aluminium base. They are matched to th etrim that goes around the back edge of the trunk lid and base, ie ally on the Asp and chrome on the SE.

The first one(39162-MAM-771) is no longer available according to service honda.

The second one (08E96-MAM-100) is the chrome antenna (98.17 at service honda)

The third one ( 08E96-MCA-100) is coming up as the passenger controls.

I think I'm just going to buy from sierra.
