97 SE Mirrors

I'm a new owner of a 97 SE and have an issue with the rear view morrors being pointed a bit to low. I've tried to adjust them but they don't seem to move. There's nothing in the owners manual. Does anyone know how I can adjust them?

hey hey wecome to the forum Rob..

I think they are not ajustable I have a 97 SE and never had to. I am 200lbs and 5'9
Just push on the top part of the glass to adjust up, the lower part to adjust down, the right, right and left, left.

The whole mirror doesn't adjust, just the glass. They work just fine on my '97 SE

I'm with Sam....That is how my 96 SE mirrors work!
Wow meaning that mine are seized LOL they have been there soooooo long I cant move them LOL
Thanks for the info guys..awesome!!!
Yeah they doo get sticky and often will not move in the direction that you'd want at first... sometimes it'll help to get em warm in the sun, then try to adjust them in some other direction to get things moving. Once you're OK moving, the ball/gimbal most often allow you to adjust to where you needed originally.

It's been my experience that they adjust more easlily left/right; I'd always assumed that this is do to the horizontal axis of the mirror being larger so there'd be a little more leverage available.
If they don't move, you may have to slouch ion the seat while riding.

...slightly off-topic but it might also be useful to point out that like on many cars the part behind the rubber is articulated. With enough force (like when you come into contact with something) it will swivel forward of backwards (instead of breaking).
