Both my saddlebag doors have quite a gap around the door when closed. They workfine but it seems like the seal is too thick to allow the door to seat fully in. Has anyone hadthis and tried any other seals?

It's not the adjustment of the latch, the doors wont even push further in to leave a more acceptable gap so I wouldguessit must be the seal..unless anyone can think of anything else that might cause it.

Thanks for any thoughts you can offer.

Try removing the reflector/light strips down the sides and "dink" around with the hinge mounts a bit. That might help to get them to chum up a bit nicer.

The seals shouldn't cause the gap. A previous owner could have overloaded the saddlebags and bent the hinges, they do bend easy.
