Hi All,

I know this was asked before but I can't find what I'm looking for.

I have a 99 1500Se I think the cornering lights are 18w (maybe 35w). Is there a higher wattage bulb (55w or higher) that will fit in the stock socket and not hurt the wiring.

Hi Hickey

I'm right working on this "problem", too. If you search on, you'll find my post not far from this one, called "electrical schema".

But to your question.

I read also posts about 18W and 35W. Interestingly is the shop manual talking about 25W.
So I have to look what's really inside.

When you search through the different threads, there has been one, stating that the original 35W(?) are already too much when shining together and all the time. This may damage relay 3, and even the relay socket.

So I wouldn't recommend at all to put stronger bulbs in.

Hope this helps a little

Thanks Swiss-Wing,

I Think I read that post also but the one I looked at did not say anything about the relay problem or socket problem.
