People who don't ride or ski.....how do they live, and why?

Maybe that's why I ride now. Years ago I was an avid skier, was the only reason that justified having winter. I quit because of knee surgery and my local favorite ski resort rebuilt and jumped up the prices beyond my pocketbook. So now I ride. But that means I have a big problem with winter, can't ride, can't ski. So I live half of the year and suffer the other half.
