It was snowing, but the poles are for stability over rugged terrain while carrying backpacks. They're actuallydesigned as, "trekking poles." A habit I picked up whilehiking and climbing in Europe.Nice one guys, much more attractive than pics of greasy bikers, but it looks like the snow comes early in California, judging by the ski poles Axelwik:baffled::goofygrin:
