Wanting to know if folks are adjusting or having their valves adjusted on their Goldwings. The service folks at the Honda place says they should be adjusted every 16K miles along with changing the spark plugs. The bike is running very good with no known problems.

Find another service center. The valve clearances should be checked at about 32,000 miles, not before.

John Goodell is correct. The "Valves" every 32,000 miles and the "Spark Plugs" every 16,000 miles.

All correct. Check at 32k and they most likely won't need adjusting.

I checked mine at 50K and they were fine. Will check again this winter when it will have well over 100K.
And I currently have over 50K on a set of plugs. Changed them twice with about 24K each time and they still looked new.

At 32K, Dennis at Apex in Co Springs suggested that it's a waste of money checking valves, and said that they've not seen any needing adjustment at 32K, so recommends another look-see at about 50K miles.

I did mine at 35k. Spot on.
