After market exhaust on a GL1100

Well I'm kind of in the mood to go a little nuts on the 1100, it is basically going to be a complete rebuild with possible engine overhaul as well. So I'm thinking of doing some non Goldwing things to her since she is going to wind up a naked wing when it's all said and done. One thing I've been tossing around is after market exhaust. Can you run a system like the two brothers exhaust or something similar? I got this bike recently and it looks like he had the left side of the bike parked facing the Great Salt Lake in Utah, everything on that side looks horrible. Wanting to just replace the exhaust system as a whole.

Thanks.

don't know about any after market but the harleys i used on my 1200 really sounded good and i could tell a difference in the power after i knocked the plugs out of um and they still weren't really loud. should be able to get some screaming eagle pull offs pretty cheap.

my wing has jardine headers and mufflers , it sounded really nice when it ran , but hey it still looks good , they are a bit expensive though .

I needed to replace the originals on my 82 Interstate last year - the originals fell apart when removed. I researched and wound up buying the Motad aftermarket exhaust. A bit pricey but made completely of Stainless Steel so the won't rust out again. Just my 2 cents.

If you end up stuck let me know, I have the left side in pretty decent condition. I think the silencer as been removed though.

Jardine 4 into 2 turndowns run around $600 from BikeBandit or JC Whitney. Real happy with mine.
