After syncing carbs fuel consumption went way up

When I first bought my 87 Aspencade three weeks ago, I was getting around 41 MPG, it fell to 36 MPG after I added a higher weight oil then after we synced the carbs it fell to 30 MPG. Any suggestions?

put the old oil back in and unsync the carbs. :D













did you change the air filter too? Are your brakes rubbing?

How is it running? Does the bike smoke, or smell different when running? What do your plugs look like?

I seriously doubt what you have done is the cause? My first suspicion would be that you have a dragging brake. Had the bike been sitting prior to your purchase?
