Jardines were nice on my old 1200, sounded a little louder than stock, not loud but mellow. My 1500 has stock pipes and they are a weel bit quieter than I'd choose but they are in good shape so they will stay.

If it's for the gl1100 you want, you can't do better than Motad. They will last forever and there isn't any chrome to fall off as they are stainless.

;)I am also looking at replacing the exhaust on my 83 GL1100 but have not made a decision yet. I have found out one interesting item about the MAC exhaust. You see in many of the advertisments for MAC exhaust that they are 18 pounds lighter than a stock system. It is more like ounces NOT pounds. It does appear to be a good exhaust however. Can anybody confirm MAC quality or longevity? Dean
