Hi Jack,

I have a gl1000 and I think that I read that there is only one air-cut-off valve on the 1100s as well. Mine was easy to replace using a couple of different philips screwdrivers. It is located (if there is only one valve) on the upper right side of the air box. You can get at it by removing the aircleaner box and going at it from the top inside the false tank.

There is a spring, the valve, and a couple of o-rings to change out. I have read that other people have had troubles changing it, but I don't see why... I overhauled my carbs, and after the carbs were in position, maybe with the intakes turn 90 degrees or so, I screwed the new air-cut-off valve into place.

It is easy! Go for it! Jim
