Good Job. Did you cross check the 3 yellow stator wires for NO RESISTANCE across all 3 yellow wires using an ohm meter? Then, grown the Omm negative meter to the negative of the bike and neg on the ohm meter, and with the red, check each yellow wire and make sure there is no resistance there either. If there is an open connection on any of the yellow wires, the stator will have to be replaced. (I believe I said the right. If I am wrong, please intervein) This is one of the most Important Test.

Yep, there was negligible resistance at all points. Like I said, I didn't check out the regulator so I'm gambling on that component, but I just cruised the 30 miles to work this morning after letting the bike sit for a day. Runs great!! <knock on wood>
