anybody looking to replace comp-u-fire should check with ken heming about new hitachi alternator that he has. 300.00 for high-output alternator. just some friendly info for everyone

This is prolly the HITACHI MODEL AH708-HO -- data shows 90 to 95 amps - Standing ebay pricing is about $315 (plus hassels, no doubt) - Hitachi came out with the part maybe 6 -8- weeks back.
Ken is on GWRRA he may have data on his page (he comes with a STRONG rep as a good rebuider, and solid businessman) http://mysite.verizon.net/resp3jbj/
Siebo, how'd this fit into your '89? (or what bike did you install it into?) -- the application guide shows only 1990 and up 1500s --

I had to install comp-u-fire. broke down in N. C. took about 20 minutes to replace oem alternator with comp-u-fire.
