Check the forums re. Alt rebuilds .
Did my 88 1500 rebuild for $ 100.00
Early 1500 Honda Alts. are good quality units.
Be advised that front brg. and oil seal must be pressed out of original aluminum housing by a shop.
Small rear sealed brg. is suseptible to spinning in its mount. Check for good tight fit of rear brg. in the housing.
Do all electrical checks as per/manual for stator, etc.
