Once I bought the bike, I really didnt start riding in earnest for a month. Say May 25th is the date I started riding. At that point it had 30,100 miles. Today, you can see the mileage was 33,333.33 part way home from work. Its a sight I just had to capture... I know-silly of me...:cheeky1:

Anyhooo... If you do the math, Bargoyle was ridden an average of only 1200 miles over the first 25 years.

I have ridden at a pace of 15,000 a year, and thats just evenings and weekends. Guess who's having fun?!?!?

Glad to see the speedo was at "0" when you took that pic...

Yeah, it was something I was watching for. I pulled off the highway just for that pic. Theoretically, every combination of numbers on a speedo only comes just once, like the pic I took, but the uniformity of all threes is cool.

L8r...

Was that the middle 3 digits? Just over the three digits?

I think the fastest I have EVER gone on any bike was just under 90. In my lifetime I have bounced off a dashboard at 60, and feel pretty confident that I dont want to experience a similar event on a bike.

Oh lord, just did the math on mine, 784.3 miles per year......................

Wow, poor thing. Last two owners were pathetic, guess Ive got lots of work ahead of me, eh? :cheeky1:
Its amazing that my bike survived long enough for me to find it. I was destined to have it in my care. I suppose I should tell the bike "Sorry I am late"!

I look at, and long for, newer nicer bikes. But at the same time, I am absolutely ecstatic knowing I can ride a solid, nice looking bike, and have the fun of riding without the expense of a newer bike.
