As long as the LED drivers are decent, you shouldn't have any real problems just because of ambient heat. Being in an enclosure does raise the temps on the LED die, and will shorten lifespan, but you should still get plenty of life out of them.
Modern LED drivers usually self regulate based on temp, so I was a little "worried" that output would noticeably drop if I was riding a while in the heat. No such issue.

I installed H7 BeamTech 6000k LED bulbs in my Versys 1000 and they are excellent. No contest between them and high performance halogens. Throw and pattern are great. No signs of irritation from oncoming drivers. Amazon, and I believe the cost was under $50 for the pair.
